Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopaths work with individuals to improve and optimize physical and mental health through individualized healthcare plans using supplements, acupuncture, dietary and lifestyle factors. Individuals seek naturopathic medicine when they need support in improving or managing physical and/or mental health conditions.

My journey as a therapist started at 17. I experienced my fair share of adversity by this age and stumbled upon a high school placement at St. Leonard’s Addiction and Mental Health. I gained invaluable experience working with children who were pained with their caregivers substance addiction and adults who accessed the harm reduction program. These services resonated deeply with me due to my own past with addiction; however, I never had the emotional support that these children were getting until much later in life. It was in that placement that I developed the strong determination to be the professional support to others that I never had the privilege of having as a child and teenager.

I then went on to college for my Social Service Worker, and progressed to my Bachelors of Social Worker and Master of Social Work. I now have 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. The highlight of my experience includes working in non for profit at lead Children Mental Health Agencies, working in Nunatsiavut with the Inuit and Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation with the Anishinaabe, and 3 years in private practice specializing in processing trauma with children, youth and adults.

I’ve worked alongside wonderful individuals and families through my career and highly value the healing connection that leads to their growth and happiness. Therefore, the therapeutic connection and relationship is a pillar in the work I do. I feel that my compassion and insight combined with my playful and authentic attitude will best help guide you through life’s ups and downs.

My journey into Naturopathic Medicine began in my early adolescent years after seeing a Naturopath. It was the first time I truly felt heard by a healthcare provider, and that experience shaped my understanding of the power of individualized medicine. I knew then that I wanted to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

I became drawn to the intersection of Naturopathic Medicine and mental health care shortly after this. Mental health care has always been a passion of mine, after navigating my own challenges and witnessing many family members and close friends do the same. My goal is to empower patients to regain control of both their physical and mental well-being through a holistic, evidence-based approach.

I have experience in treating a wide range of mental health concerns and work closely with patients to identify goals and create a plan to achieve them. My approach prioritizes education, focusing on optimizing diet, sleep, movement, and other lifestyle factors. I also utilize nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine and acupuncture to help reach identified goals. When needed, I incorporate laboratory testing to help guide treatment.

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. I am a member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

My passion for psychology and mental health was born from personal experiences with adversity during childhood. After undergoing counseling myself, I recognized the profound impact that therapy can have on one’s life, which inspired me to help others who have faced similar challenges. With a background in counseling psychology, I’ve had the privilege of working hands-on with a diverse range of individuals, particularly youth, navigating a variety of life’s struggles. My approach is rooted in creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore their concerns, work through difficulties, and find meaningful solutions that support their well-being.

My path into psychotherapy began with a deep fascination for the brain—how it can shape, bend, and even rewrite our sense of reality. This curiosity became personal as I sought to better understand the mental health struggles within my own family. Over time, what started as intellectual interest grew into emotional investment, and eventually, a vocation.

As a first-generation Lebanese Canadian and a survivor of generational trauma, I bring both personal understanding and professional training to my work. I have supported clients in addiction rehab facilities, facilitated support groups for ADHD, anger, and recovery, and now work primarily with individuals aged 15 to 50 navigating ADHD, trauma, anxiety, or addiction. Whether it’s phobias, relationship patterns, or emotional overwhelm, I strive to help clients get curious about the internal systems driving their lives.

My approach is grounded in attachment theory. I see the therapeutic relationship as a secure base from which clients can explore, experiment, and heal. Our sessions together become a mirror to better understand how you relate to the world around you. I tend to work collaboratively, but offer direct guidance when needed—especially when supporting neurodivergent clients or those facing the challenges of addiction.

I aim to offer a space that feels safe, real, and open to discovery. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply and reshape old patterns, I would be honoured to walk that path with you.

I am a Registered Social Worker and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. With a Master’s in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Concurrent Disorders, my passion for helping others has been nurtured by practice experience in the community mental health, addictions, and post-secondary sectors.

I use an eclectic mix of evidence-based modalities coupled with strengths-based and collaborative approaches to support clients, believing that no one knows your life experience better than you. I center my practice on the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth and change, often using compassion and humour, in addition to therapeutic tools, to make you feel comfortable and build trust between us.

Using trauma-informed and ecological systems frameworks, together we can explore how our environments, current and historical, shape the stories we tell ourselves, who we are, and how we navigate through the world. I strive to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where we can develop new and adaptive coping strategies, build a deeper connection to our authentic selves, and navigate life’s challenges together to create meaningful change.
